Many employers in the Waikato region are already running employee volunteering programmes. They promote volunteering and encourage their staff to get involved.

Definition
Employee volunteering is Business/Statutory Organisations (Employers) encouraging and supporting their employees to carry out voluntary work, which is unpaid, done of their own free will and for the common good. Aroha ki te takata a rohe.
