Employee Volunteering is an opportunity for your business to develop team, personal and professional skills while making a valued contribution to the community.
Many employers in the Waikato region are already running employee volunteering programmes. They promote volunteering and encourage their staff to get involved.
In your own company there will be staff members who are volunteers. Have you recognized their contribution to society? Would you like to encourage other staff to get involved?
Definition
Employee volunteering is Business/Statutory Organisations (Employers) encouraging and supporting their employees to carry out voluntary work, which is unpaid, done of their own free will and for the common good. Aroha ki te takata a rohe.
