Lorraine Hooper

Volunteer Co-ordinator
Telephone: 07 839 3191 ext 2
Lorraine came to New Zealand back in 2000 with her family and was impressed at the contribution made by volunteers across all walks of life. Her New Zealand background is in adult education and training, volunteer co-ordination, support and networking with migrant and refugee communities. Lorraine’s volunteering over many years has included school committees, cricket and cycling clubs, 89 Free FM, Kirikiriroa Human Rights Network and Red Cross Refugee Services. Currently she volunteers with Age Concern with the Accredited Visiting Service. Working in the not-for-profit sector gives her the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals who are passionate about people.

Liddy joined the Volunteering Waikato team in February 2011 in the role of Office Administrator. She has a background working in both the community and business sectors, and enjoys being in a role where she makes a difference to our community. When not at work, she can generally be found filling one of her family roles – homework helper, dog walker, taxi driver, and provider of clean clothes and food – and volunteers for the Hamilton Group Riding for the Disabled on Friday just for fun.

Chris loves the diversity and passion of the volunteer sector and enjoys the challenge of designing and delivering interactive learning opportunities. When not at work Chris can be found pottering in her garden or assisting Hamilton Chartwell Lions Club with projects in the community.
