Special Olympics Waikato

Special Olympics is a year round program with weekly training for young people and adults with an intellectual disabilities. Athletes can be as young as five and there is no upper age limit. Individuals who compete in Special Olympics develop physical fitness and self confidence.

The Special Olympics movement can ultimately transform communities by inspiring people to open their minds, accept and include people with intellectual disabilities.

Volunteer Basketball Coach – Special Olympics Waikato

Special Olympics Waikato is looking for enthusiastic volunteer basketball coaches to support athletes with intellectual disabilities in a fun, inclusive team. Training is Wednesdays 6–8pm in Hamilton, with possible North Island competitions.
