Te Pahū Landcare Group

Join Te Pahū Landcare Group for a hands-on conservation working bee to help care for the trees along the Kāniwhaniwha Stream. Volunteers will clear logs, branches and soil washed up around tree trunks during the extreme weather event in February, helping protect the trees from rot and contamination.

You can come along with family or friends, and every extra pair of hands helps. We also hold monthly weeding working bees, so there are regular opportunities to get involved.

Requirements:
  • A willingness to help and get involved.
  • A moderate level of fitness is helpful, but most fitness levels can be accommodated.
  • Wear old clothes, sturdy shoes and a sun hat.
  • Bring drinking water, snacks and your favourite weeding tool.
  • Gloves are available, but you are welcome to bring your own.

First aid support and a first aid kit will be available on site.
