Operation Christmas Hampers (Te Awamutu)

Volunteers will help wrap Christmas presents for children under 16 and fill food hampers for local families who have had a challenging year. Hampers include Christmas food, a roast meal, sweets and a gift for each child.

Volunteer Tasks include:

  • Wrapping presents, placing items into boxes
  • Helping get the hampers ready for distribution.

All we ask if for you to have a positive attitude and a willingness to lend a hand. It is rewarding knowing you can help someone celebrate Christmas….

Requirements:
  • Teams of 2–8 volunteers are welcome.
  • There are a variety of tasks available, so there’s something for everyone to help with.
  • Some tasks involve lifting and carrying heavy hampers, but if that’s not for you, there are plenty of other ways to lend a hand!
  • Wear comfortable clothing suitable for a warm workspace and closed-toe shoes.
