Formed in 1994, our incorporated Society comprises of financial members and/or volunteers dedicated to promoting and educating the public about this interesting heritage area, which contained huge plant machinery that operated from 1897 to 1954.
Our Aim is the preservation of the original Transformer House on the Victoria Battery site as a Museum attraction for the continued presentation and exhibition of related artifacts and history of the mining and extraction of Gold and other minerals from the Victoria Battery and other local sites.
We provide tours of the Museum and Kiln Tunnel as well as rides on our vintage electric mining locomotives
