GirlGuiding New Zealand is a place where girls can try new things, build confidence, and feel like they belong.
We work with:
- Pippins – Between 5 to 6 years
- Brownies – Between 7 to 9 years
- Guides – Between 9 to 12 years
- Rangers – Between 12 to 17 years
Our girls need leaders who are kind, encouraging, and willing to join in. You do not need experience. You just need to show up, care, and be prepared to have some fun.
You will be part of a small team running weekly sessions for your group. Some weeks you might be doing crafts, other weeks games, badge work, or planning for camp. There are also opportunities to be involved in trips and camps throughout the year.
A lot of our leaders say they joined to help out and ended up staying because of the friendships, the laughs, and the sense of community.
What the role involves
- Attending one weekly session during school term time, around 1 to 2 hours
- Working with other leaders to plan and run activities
- Helping out at trips or camps from time to time
- Taking part in occasional training or planning meetings
- Full support and training are provided.
