Volunteer Opportunity in Thames – Become a Literacy Coach!
Are you passionate about literacy and keen to make a positive difference in your community? The Rural Youth and Adult Literacy Trust (RYALT) is looking for a caring and committed volunteer to support an adult student in Thames.
You’ll meet regularly at a local library or community centre to provide one-on-one literacy support—and help someone open the door to new opportunities through learning.
Why Volunteer as a Literacy Coach?
- Make a real difference – Empower an adult learner to overcome literacy challenges and gain confidence.
- Enjoy personal fulfilment – Witness the joy and growth of your student as they progress.
- Join a supportive community – Be part of a passionate network of RYALT volunteers.
- Full training and ongoing support are provided to help you succeed in your role.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need teaching experience—just a willingness to help, patience, and a genuine desire to support others. We’ll guide you every step of the way.
If you’re friendly, reliable, and believe in the power of literacy to change lives, we’d love to hear from you!
