At St Vincent de Paul, we’re here to support people in our community who are doing it tough — and our volunteers are at the heart of making that happen. Right now, we’re looking for friendly faces to join our Vinnies team in Frankton. If you can spare at least 6 hours a week, we’d love to have you on board.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Welcoming customers and helping out at the counter
  • Refreshing stock and keeping the store looking its best

What you’ll get out of it:

    -There is a 2 month training period to be done in our Distribution Centre in Frankton before going into the stores

Requirements:

  • Someone who can commit to at least 3 months
  • Has some retail experience, or an interest in retail, to give it a go and learn along the way (Training Provided)
  • Fluent in English and has strong communication skills
  • Reliable, turns up on time, and enjoys working with others
  • Happy to lend a hand with a mix of tasks during a shift
  • Brings a positive attitude and a welcoming smile
  • Okay with being on your feet for a few hours
  • Keen to be part of a fun, supportive team and the wider Vinnies whānau

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Must be able to commit to at least one shift per week, with the option to take on more if available:

  • Monday: 9am - 4pm
  • Tuesday: 9am - 4pm
  • Wednesday: 9am – 4pm
  • Thursday: 9am - 4pm
  • Friday: 9am - 4pm
  • Sat : 9am - 1pm

  • Monday 9am - 3pm
  • Tuesday 9am - 3pm
  • Wednesday 9am - 3pm
  • Thursday 9am - 3pm
  • Friday 9am - 2pm
