Are you a lover of multi-cultural events, music, dance, and a supporter of creative people and Youth?
Waikato Rocks Trust is a charitable organisation promoting our people’s creations, especially the music and dance of Waikato youth. Our journey started in 2010 in a rural radio station in Raglan and extended to FreeFM89.0 and Raglan Community Radio. Since then, we have organised several events, including 32 weekly NZ music episodes for SKY Television for free.
Some of the community events and activities we run:
- Christmas at the Lake
- Raglan Music and Dance Fest
- Huntly Art in the Park
- Tunes of Waikato (Waikato Youth Music)
- Waikato Maori Arts.
We are seeking a Treasurer to join our team of five Trustees and a Manager that are always looking for new ideas to serve our community! It would be great if you have some experience, but we can support you with professional development and learning. We are a team of cool people, and you will find it easy to step in to our world.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain accurate financial records, track income and expenses and ensure proper bookkeeping systems are in place.
- Process and schedule timely online banking payments.
- Support budgeting and financial planning for events and activities.
- Contribute to strategic decisions and organisational planning.
- Maintain good communication with the team and stay responsive via email, text, messenger for timely decisions and approvals.
- Attend Board of Trustees meetings every 3-4 months (via video conference).
We welcome all age groups but expect a level of maturity for this Treasurer role.
