Your Role
Your shop manager will match your tasks to your skills, experience, and interests. You may help with some of the following:

  • Cash handling: Use accurate and efficient cash management skills.
  • Customer service: Provide friendly, respectful service. Treat everyone with dignity and a positive attitude.
  • Processing stock: Welcome and thank people for donations. Sort, hang, and ticket items as trained by the shop manager.
  • Shop presentation and merchandising: Keep the shop tidy and inviting. This includes cleaning, setting up displays, tidying racks and shelves, and clearing dressing rooms.
    -Teamwork: Work well with customers, employees, and other volunteers to ensure the shop runs smoothly and reflects the values of Red Cross.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3month Commitment
  • Ministry of Justice Check
  • Minimum 15years of Age

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

We are urgently looking for friendly and reliable volunteers for our Te Awamutu Red Cross Shop. We have a high need for volunteers available Thursday or Fridays.

Shop hours - Morning and/or afternoon shifts available

  • Monday to Friday - 9am to 4:30pm
  • Saturday - 9am to 1pm
