Someone in Cambridge is having a really hard day right now. Maybe they’ve received a letter from WINZ they don’t understand, a landlord who isn’t playing by the rules, or a bill that just doesn’t add up. At Citizens Advice Bureau, our volunteers are the people who help them find a way forward.
We’re looking for warm, patient, non-judgemental people to join our welcoming front desk team in Cambridge town centre. No legal knowledge needed, we provide full training covering everything from tenancy rights and government benefits to consumer protection and family matters.
You’ll work alongside another volunteer, so you’re never on your own. And once you’ve completed your initial training, you’ll have a three-month supported period to build your confidence with the full backing of the team around you.
The shifts are short. The impact lasts a lot longer.
