We’re looking for a friendly volunteer to join our Huntly café team for a 2-hour shift between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. If you enjoy meeting people, having a chat with customers, and being part of a busy café environment, this could be a great fit.

As a Cashier/Barista Volunteer, you’ll welcome customers, take orders, prepare and serve drinks, use the till, and help keep the café running smoothly. You’ll be working alongside others to create a place where people can stop in for a coffee and a friendly conversation.

Our café is a not-for-profit café, with proceeds helping support the local foodbank and food support services in Huntly. By helping in the café, you’ll be contributing to a service that provides practical support for people in the community.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, wants to stay active, use their café experience, or simply spend a few hours each week doing something social and worthwhile.

Requirements:

  • Experience making espresso coffee.
  • Café, hospitality or customer service experience.
  • Friendly and comfortable talking with customers.
  • Able to use a point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Reliable and happy working as part of a team.

Time commitment:
