About Us:
Nawton Community Centre works alongside whānau to strengthen the Nawton-Crawshaw community through free programmes and services that support learning, wellbeing, employment and connection. We provide a welcoming hub where people of all ages can access education, practical support and opportunities to thrive.

We are looking for someone to prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking as required. Paint interior walls, doors, and other surfaces. Assist with touch-up work to keep the facility looking well maintained. Help protect furniture and flooring during painting projects. Work safely and maintain a tidy work area. Report any maintenance issues noticed while completing painting tasks. Work alongside other volunteers and staff on improvement projects.

Requirements:

  • Someone with cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking experience.
  • Health and safety conscious.
  • Ability to work well alongside other staff and volunteers.

Time commitment:

Flexible to suit your availability.
This could be a one off commitment of a few days to see a particular room or corridor painted or a few hours each week or month, or helping with larger painting projects as required.
