Join us in supporting the “No to Violence” Campaign through a community event celebrating friendship, kindness, care, respect, and unity. The event features an inspiring art exhibition and creative writing showcase created by local participants.

Volunteers will assist with the smooth running of the event, including:

About the Role:
Volunteers will help create a welcoming and enjoyable event by assisting with venue set-up, displaying exhibits, greeting guests, serving refreshments, supporting event activities, capturing photos, and helping with pack-down at the end of the day.

No previous experience is necessary. Whether you have volunteered before or are simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • Friendly, positive and welcoming attitude
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Willing to assist with a variety of event tasks
  • Comfortable interacting with children, families and community members
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Photography skills are welcome but not essential
  • Able to assist with venue setup and pack-down

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Volunteers are requested from 3:00 PM for venue setup.

The public event runs from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with volunteers staying afterwards to assist with pack-down, finishing at approximately 7:00 PM (or when pack-up is complete).
