Pre-Loved School Uniform Shop Volunteer – Cambridge

We’re looking for a friendly volunteers to join our Pre-Loved School Uniform Shop team. If you enjoy being organised, helping your community and keeping things neat and tidy, this could be a great fit for you.

As part of the team, you’ll:

  • Check, sort and display donated school uniforms
  • Help keep the shop tidy and welcoming
  • Occasionally help customers find the uniforms they need
  • Help local whānau access affordable school uniforms

Enjoy sewing? That’s a bonus. From time to time, an item may need a button sewn on or a small repair. Experience with a needle and thread or sewing machine would be helpful, but it’s not essential.

Your time will help make pre-loved school uniforms available to local families and help children head to school feeling prepared and confident.

If you can spare a couple of hours each week and would like to help, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • A friendly and reliable person who enjoys helping others.
  • Someone who is organised and pays attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
  • Able to stand, sort and fold clothing.
  • An interest in supporting the local community.
  • Basic sewing skills are a bonus, but not required.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

  • Weekdays
  • 1–2 hours per week
  • Flexible days and times by arrangement
