Brain Injury Waikato is looking for friendly, community-minded people to join our Event Volunteer Crew!

We’re a small regional organisation supporting people and their whānau after brain injury. We’re non-clinical, helping people navigate the health and support services available, while running support groups, education sessions and community events.

We’re looking for people who enjoy meeting others and would be happy to lend a hand every now and then.

You might:

  • Help us man our stall at a local expo
  • Chat with people and help spread awareness about brain injury
  • Be an extra pair of hands at a support or education session
  • Help with setting up, welcoming people or packing down
  • Simply be part of our awesome little team for a few hours

There’s no regular commitment required. We’ll keep a list of volunteers and contact you when opportunities come up. You can choose whether an event suits you.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

  • 2–4 hours per event
  • Approximately 2–3 events per year
  • Flexible – choose the opportunities that suit you
