Delivery Volunteers are often the face of Bellyful in the community, delivering meals and a friendly, caring connection when it’s needed most. They collect meals from local freezers(Frankton or CBD) and deliver them to whānau. It’s a flexible role and often a simple but meaningful interaction that makes a real difference.
What It Involves
You’ll be supported by a Recipient Coordinator, who will organise the referral, allocate meals, and provide the key details you need.
You’ll then:
- Contact the recipient to arrange a suitable delivery time
- Collect meals from a local Bellyful freezer
- Deliver meals safely and promptly
- Offer a warm, respectful interaction when handing over meals
- Let your coordinator know once the delivery is complete
- Liaise with Recipient Coordinators as required regarding freezer stock numbers
- You’ll only be given the information you need for delivery, and we ask that all recipient details are treated with care and kept confidential.
How It Works
- Deliveries are flexible and fit around your availability. You can opt in when it works for you, and most deliveries take around 30–60 minutes all up.
- A small reimbursement is paid per each delivery (paid quarterly).
