About Step Up
Step Up is a new Cambridge community organisation supporting people experiencing loneliness and social isolation. It provides a welcoming space where people can come together, chat with others in similar situations, build connections and enjoy having somewhere to go.
About the role
- Step Up is looking for a friendly volunteer who is happy to be part of the group, spend time with attendees and lend a hand during its weekly gatherings.
- This is a relaxed, hands-on role where simply being present, joining conversations and helping people feel welcome can make a difference.
- There are also a few practical tasks to help keep the space tidy and welcoming, including clearing away morning tea, cleaning up afterwards and helping rearrange tables and chairs.
- No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to get involved, enjoy a chat and help out where needed.
