About Us:
We are a 100% volunteer-based committee—no employees, no offices, just pure service to the community we call home. We believe that community is built by those who step up to be the change they wish to see. If you are someone who looks at our neighborhood and sees ways to make it better, and you’re ready to lead by example, this is the space for you.
This role is for someone who understands that civic duty isn’t just a concept—it’s an action. You will work closely with our President to handle the core administrative work, like agendas and annual planning, which keeps our mission on track. More importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to be present and actively involved.
If you have the skills to handle the paperwork and the heart to do the work, join us in building the community that others only talk about.
Time commitment:
We are looking for a partner who is invested in our mission, not a clock-watcher. If you are looking for a role with rigid, guaranteed start and end times, this is not the space for you. We need someone who understands that community service is about showing up to get the job done, not about counting the hours.
-
Monthly Meetings: We officially schedule for one hour, but these can occasionally run to 1.5 or 2 hours when there is important work to be done. We need someone who is committed to the outcome, and can show flexibility.
-
Administrative Tasks: This is flexible work managed on your own time, ensuring we remain organized and prepared.
-
Community Events: We host four events a month. Every event is different, and the time required is fluid. Some of our volunteers arrive early to help with preparations (like making lunch), while others arrive as the event begins and stay until the work is finished. Your involvement is defined by your own initiative and heart.
-
Scope for Contribution: There is real scope here for the right person to suggest new ideas—whether that’s introducing a game, an activity, or a new way to support our neighbors. If you have an idea, we want to hear it and discuss it with the committee.
The Bottom Line:
We believe our time is a gift to the neighborhood. We are looking for someone who asks "what needs to be done." If that is how you operate, you will fit right in.
