About Us:
The Waikato Family Centre nurtures families/whānau and their babies by offering free individualised professional advice, education programmes and ongoing support. Highly skilled team, work in partnership with families/whānau encouraging and guiding them through the first 24 months of their baby’s life.

About You:
This role is around being a friendly, confident and clear communicator, able to tell the story of the Waikato Family Centre, promote our services, and get people excited about supporting the work our charity does.

It will involve joining us at community events to promote our services, and connect people with the supports and services we offer, and also promote the need for fundraising and support as our ambassador.

Requirements:

  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Able to meet different people at their communication and energy levels
  • Able to learn about and be confident in promoting our services
  • Not shy in sharing our story and asking for community support, so we can continue to support others

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

This will mostly be based on when our events are scheduled. We have several one-off roles that we will be in need for your support, for example community info days.
It will also be when there is a fundraiser or a request from a business, school or group to discuss what we do and how we can work together in supporting our community.
