About Us
Hamilton Combined Christian Foodbank provides food parcels to individuals and families in Kirikiriroa. These parcels include pantry, frozen, and fresh vegetable items designed to support meals for approximately 4 days.

About the Role
This role helps strengthen connections between the Foodbank and the wider community by building relationships and increasing awareness of the support available.

We are looking to build a small team of Coordinators, each connected to one area of Hamilton:

  • Hamilton East
  • South (Glenview / Melville / Deanwell)
  • North (Pukete / Te Rapa)
  • West (Nawton / Dinsdale)

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with schools, churches, businesses, and community groups
  • Support food drives, fundraising, donations, and community engagement
  • Promote referral pathways for food parcels and kaumātua packs
  • Develop outreach opportunities, partnerships, and information sessions
  • Represent the Foodbank professionally and uphold confidentiality and dignity

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confident engaging with schools, churches, groups, and community leaders
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional team player
  • Creative thinker with fresh ideas for outreach and fundraising
  • Organised and reliable
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and trust
  • Passionate about community wellbeing and helping others
  • Supports the values and mission of the Foodbank

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

  • 2–4 hours per week
  • likely to be home-based role but also out and about in the local community
  • need to be able to commit to monthly meetings with the manager and the connector team
