Support Our Centre Behind the Scenes
At Waikato Equitherapy, our therapy horses, volunteers, and staff create life-changing experiences for children and adults with special needs. Riders gain confidence, joy, and independence, and every week brings visible growth and progress.

The Centre is also a supportive, welcoming space for volunteers, work experience students, and children attending our holiday programs. By helping maintain a clean and organised environment, you’ll play a vital role in keeping this community safe, comfortable, and inviting.

About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and caring volunteer to assist with cleaning tasks. While this role does not involve direct interaction with the horses, you’ll be helping ensure the Centre runs smoothly and remains a welcoming place for everyone.

What You’ll Do

  • Vacuum, dust, and mop floors in the admin block and club rooms
  • Help maintain a tidy, organised, and welcoming environment for staff, volunteers, and visitors
  • Support the smooth running of the Centre behind the scenes

Requirements:

  • Reliable and punctual, helping the Centre run smoothly
  • Friendly and approachable, able to work as part of a supportive team
  • Organised and attentive to detail, keeping spaces tidy and welcoming
  • Comfortable working indoors and handling general cleaning tasks
  • Good communicators, able to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and visitors

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

  • 1-2 hours per week
  • Help to stay on top of things
