Join our friendly team of volunteers delivering hot meals to homes across Cambridge! Each day, volunteers deliver around 20 meals, usually with two drivers sharing 10 meals each. Daily routes cover approximately 15 km within Cambridge, and drivers typically spend 45 minutes to an hour on their rostered day, usually once a week around noon, using their own vehicle to deliver meals to clients.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Access to your own vehicle.
  • Some knowledge of Cambridge street names and locations (or willing to use a map/GPS).
  • A working email account that is checked regularly.
  • A mobile phone for communication.

Time commitment:

  • Commitment: Around 45 minutes to 1 hour, usually around noon.
  • Frequency: Once per week on a rostered day (Monday to Friday).

Roles:

  • Regular drivers – same day most weeks, ongoing.
  • Casual drivers – choose the days you are available each week.
  • Flexibility: Substitutes can be arranged for regular drivers as needed.
