The event features an inspiring art exhibition and creative writing showcase created by local participants.

About the Role:
We are seeking volunteers to assist in reviewing the creative writing pieces we receive and to help identify outstanding submissions deserving of special appreciation. Your contribution would help us recognise and celebrate the creativity, originality, and effort of the participants.

Requirements:

  • Interest in creative writing, literature, or the arts
  • Ability to read and evaluate creative writing objectively and fairly
  • Ability to assess submissions based on agreed judging criteria
  • Respect for different writing styles, perspectives, and levels of experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding participants and their submissions
  • Previous experience in writing, teaching, editing, judging, literature, or any related field.

Time commitment:

  • Event volunteers and the organising team will be present at the venue from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
  • The main event will take place from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • Judges are kindly requested to arrive at least one hour before the main event, to allow sufficient time to review and pre-evaluate the creative writing submissions. This will help ensure that the judging process is well organised and that outstanding pieces can be identified before the event begins.
