About Us

The Hamilton Methodist Social Services Trust (HMSS) has been operating for more than 30 years. We aim to provide a central city location for programmes that develop life skills and social connection for all. We currently provide classes for the disability and mental health sectors as well as a community meal, food assistance, showers, advocacy and information for health, housing and budgeting services.

What you will be doing

Supporting the Tutor in the class of up to 10 people with disabilities
Support the class as they engage in a range of musical activities
Help with set up and pack down
Having lots of fun

Requirements:

  • Have a good level of English
  • Are musically creative. Have some experience/expertise in music (but not essential)
  • Be patient and kind with people
  • Can focus on inclusiveness and having fun
  • Reliable and adaptable

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

  • Every Friday 9:30am-1pm
  • A minimum of 6 month commitment
