Our Op Shop team plays a vital role in the community, selling affordable pre-loved goods to help fund essential services and local initiatives. Beyond shopping, our store is a welcoming hub, supporting the community while promoting environmental sustainability, more recycling means less landfill!

We’re looking for volunteers who want to be part of our friendly, supportive team. Whether you have retail experience, want to learn new skills, or simply have time to give, your contribution plays an important role in our community.

What’s involved?
Your tasks can vary depending on what you enjoy and feel comfortable with, including:

  • Serving customers and handling cash
  • Sorting and pricing donated items
  • Visual merchandising
  • Tidying and maintaining the store

Requirements:

  • Retail experience is a plus, but not essential.
  • If you’re enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn, we’ll provide the training you need.
  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and keen to give back to their community.
  • The recruitment process includes an interview with the store manager, a reference check, and a criminal record check.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

  • Time commitment: as much time as you can give
  • Regular weekly shifts preferred
