We’re looking for mature, community-minded volunteers who can facilitate informal, staff-supported sessions for residents at Spring Hill Corrections Facility. Whether it’s gardening, cooking, woodworking, art, fitness, board games, DIY projects, music, or another interest, your passion could help create a positive and engaging experience.
You don’t need to be a qualified teacher or facilitator, simply someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge, communicates respectfully, and is comfortable working within a structured environment.
Every session is supported by Spring Hill staff, with activities planned to suit both your interests and the needs of the residents.
This is not a counselling, mentoring, or clinical role. Instead, it’s an opportunity to contribute your time, skills, and enthusiasm while helping create purposeful and enjoyable experiences for others.
Getting to Know Spring Hill
If volunteering within a corrections facility is new to you, that’s perfectly okay. Before making any commitment, you’ll be invited to meet with the Spring Hill team for an informal chat and tour of the facility. This is an opportunity to learn more about the role, understand the environment and procedures, ask questions, and decide whether it’s the right volunteer opportunity for you
