In this role you will assist regular staff in preparing a simple afternoon tea which consists of toast, school lunches, fruit and water, washing dishes and cleaning up as required. You will also be supervising students playing on laptops, as these are available for interactive online learning or entertainment purposes in a safe environment, plus supervising and playing with the students and sports gear.
This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse group of staff and gain skills working and interacting with local school children -mostly primary-aged, offer guidance or a listening ear as required and opportunity to serve in this suburb of lower socio-economic families.
This programme is run from the Good News Community Centre and is offered free to local school students.
