About Us:
The purposes of the Trust are to advance education, capability, and community well-being of individuals by identifying community needs through research and turning evidence into practical, inclusive solutions that enable people and communities to thrive.

CERT is seeking a passionate volunteer Web Developer to support the development and maintenance of our online presence. You will help design, update, and improve our website to ensure it is user-friendly, accessible, and effectively communicates our programmes and impact.

This role may involve:

  • basic website development
  • content updates
  • troubleshooting
  • supporting digital tools that help us engage with the community

You will work alongside a small, purpose-driven team and have the opportunity to contribute your ideas and creativity.

Requirements:

  • Basic to intermediate skills in web development (HTML, CSS, and/or WordPress or similar platforms)
  • Ability to design and maintain a simple, user-friendly website
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely
  • Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a small team
  • Passion for community work and interest in supporting a charitable organisation

Desirable:

  • Experience with website hosting and domains
  • Basic knowledge of accessibility and responsive design
  • Previous volunteer or project experience (not essential)

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

  • 3-4 hours per week
  • on-going role for updates and maintenance
  • flexible - since this is a home-based role, the allocated time can be either on week days or on weekends based on availability.
