Huggable Hearts needs volunteers to create customised fabric heart "shells" using special items sent in by our bereaved families to be filled out later, and sent to them to provide them solace in their moments of grief.
Keepsake Creator
Requirements:
Ideal skills include experience:
- in soft toy making, patchwork, or designing.
- in sewing, including both hand and machine.
These keepsakes would be crafted with special and irreplaceable items sent in by our families and hence, require commitment and dedication as there is no room for error.
Volunteers would have to visit on location at our Dinsdale HQ in Hamilton to collect the materials as well as handover the final product.
You should be comfortable working on your own and staying in touch online.
Time commitment:
- This is a flexible role where volunteers can choose how much work to take on.
- Tasks can be completed from the comfort of your own home, once the details have been discussed and materials shared.
