We are looking for reliable volunteers who are available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays as needed to help keep our ambulance fleet ready to respond when the community needs it most.
As an Ambulance Support Volunteer, you’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring Hato Hone St John vehicles are operationally ready, directly supporting our frontline emergency crews.
In this role, you may be involved in:
- Preparing ambulances and support vehicles for operational readiness.
- Station administration and general support tasks.
- Ordering supplies and driving designated vehicles.
- Assisting with project work as required.
- Supporting the Welfare Truck at Waikato Hospital on Friday and Saturday afternoons/evenings (desirable but not essential).
No previous experience is required—we’ll provide all the training you need. We’re looking for people who are flexible, adaptable, and keen to make a meaningful contribution to their community.
Please note: This is a non-clinical role and does not involve responding to medical emergencies.
