RDA Te Aroha is looking for a skilled and committed Treasurer to join our Committee. We really need the support of someone with financial experience to support a small, community-focused organisation helping people with disabilities.
Your Key Responsibilities would be
- Budgeting: Prepare the annual budget with input from staff, present it to the Committee, and support fundraising strategies.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track financial performance, report to the Committee, and help resolve issues.
- Annual Review & Statements: Oversee preparation of annual financial statements, audits/reviews, and present them clearly at the AGM.
- Financial Management: Maintain accurate records, manage income, expenses, invoices, payments, investments, and asset registers.
- Payroll: Manage payroll for staff, including timesheet and leave approvals, and support payroll queries.
- Committee Role: Participate actively in Committee decisions and serve as a bank signatory.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous Treasurer or similar financial role.
- Payroll experience.
- Skilled in Xero accounting software or willing to learn
- Able to prepare budgets, reports, and present financial information clearly.
